A varied diet ensures energy, well-being and health - with the right mix of macro and micronutrients.

A balanced intake of nutrients and energy is essential for health and wellbeing. Energy requirements depend on factors such as age, gender, body type and level of activity. On average, an adult needs between 1,700 and 2,000 calories per day. Consuming more calories than are expended can lead to weight gain, while an energy deficit can result in weight loss.
